Bill has been a licensed Realtor® in North Alabama since 1999. Bill started his own brokerage, Stewart & Associates Real Estate in 2021 and still represents clients buying and selling real estate. Bill has a reputation as a true professional when it comes to serving his clients and in volunteering his time and talents to the real estate associations where he is a member. Bill has served as President of the Huntsville Area Association of Realtors (HAAR), and President of the North Alabama MLS (NALMLS), and as a member of the Board of Directors for both entities. He also served as a director for the Alabama Association of Realtors. Among Bill’s many awards and achievements throughout his career, he was selected as the HAAR Realtor® of the Year for 2020. Bill not only served in the military but so have several members of his immediate family including his son in the Navy and father who served in the Army Corp during WWII. Bill has been married for 42 years.

It all began in 1985, when I became a Realtor. The real estate market in North Alabama was just beginning to wake up. I have seen many changes in the market. We have moved from a small town, to an international market. Changes in the Internet, changes in the way buyers and sellers are represented, the educational requirements and so much more have evolved the real estate industry. One major change is the Team Concept, which allows a Realtor to provide better representation by being available to give immediate attention to a client's needs as opposed to waiting in line for a response. Time is important to everyone and I value our client's time. I have served some families four, even five times in my thirty five year career. I'm proud to be a Realtor. I believe selling real estate is about building relationships; building trust which brings clients back again and again.
