Born and raised in Prestonsburg Kentucky in the heart of Appalachia.

my first job at 16 in a butcher shop, cleaning up after the day's cuts. I quickly progressed to become a meat cutter at age 17, and then worked my way up to managing the shop with 9 employees from ages 17 to 23.

Transitioned into the coal mine industry for two years before deciding it wasn't for me.

Joined the United States Navy on October 15, 1985, and served as a Command Master Chief for for the remaining 5 years of a 30 year career.

I'm John A. Davis, Principal Broker and Owner of HB Homes. After retiring as a Command Master Chief in the US Navy, I obtained my real estate license and earned my Broker's License. I served as the Broker In Charge of Hawaii Pacific Realty Group, where I helped numerous clients with their property needs, including buying, selling, and property management. My wife and I have invested in real estate for over 25 years, successfully buying and selling several investment properties on Oahu and expanding our portfolio to include additional homes on the mainland that generate residual income. In March 2021, I launched my own brokerage in Hawaii, bringing my expertise and personal touch to the industry. I provide comprehensive knowledge and support to clients throughout their purchase, sale, and property management journeys, helping them make informed decisions. If you’re looking for an agent that will put your best interests first then John is your man. He will help you make informed decisions and put you first over everything else. He will not just tell you to take the first offer if you are selling so he can make his commission. If you are buying he will negotiate to get you the best price, again not focusing on his commission. I have bought a house through him and recently sold a house through him. He always put me first. His knowledge of the Hawaii real estate market is amazing, but he continuously strives to learn more each transaction. Stop looking for an agent and choose John and his team.
