She taught kindergarten in Fort Riley for five years and loved it, but in 2015, she decided to take a leap of faith and switch careers to Real Estate. She has loved every minute since and knows it was the perfect decision. Lauren has 3 children; Easton, Kendall, and Lucas. Her husband teaches 6th grade in Riley and they love life on their farm. Megan Thornton was born in Hays, KS, but has lived in Manhattan, KS most of her life. She attended Manhattan High School, followed by Kansas State University. After college, Megan taught Special Education at Fort Riley for five years. This opportunity gave her direct experience and insight into military life and the community within Fort Riley and Junction City. Megan’s husband, Tyler, builds residential homes with the family-owned business, Thornton Construction. Throughout her career & personal experiences, Megan has extensive experience working with families, builders, vendors, and developers. She looks forward to working with clients & helping them find or build their dream home! Outside of working for her clients, Megan is raising two young boys on their farm in Wamego, KS. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking, playing cards, and visiting National Parks. As a family, they enjoy everything outdoors, family traditions, & taking care of their animals.
