Ben Stephen

Prior to real estate I spent six years working in the aviation industry as a pilot and a military contractor flying defense drones overseas. In November of 2016, my wife Jessica and I were blessed with a baby boy named Lucas while out in California. After Lucas was born, I had to travel to Africa for my first deployment for a government contracting position. I left my new baby boy and my wife in the States and I headed to Africa in support of my country, to make a living for my family, and to seek adventure. While I was deployed for a total of six months, working alongside the US military, I found out a lot about myself and dug deep within to find more meaning in my life. Once I realized the deployment lifestyle wasn’t for me, I focused almost my entire deployment day on the Michigan state test. My journey across the world helped me to realize that my life energy and focus needs to be on my faith, family, my community and the good people that make up Southwest Michigan.
