Have you ever thought about "why" you do the job that you do? I was recently asked this question and I really had to stop and think about it. Like most of you I do it for family, income (we all have obligations that need paid), entertainment and so on. Well...that is not the only reason for me. I have a wonderful office staff, a broker who cares about our office, an in-house lender/title company and a beautiful office. I get to inspire people to do the things that inspire them. It is the best feeling in the world. Sometimes it is CHALLENGING, but I chalk it up to a new learning experience that may also help a future customer. There is nothing like the GRATITUDE I receive when I give keys to a first- time buyer, or the JOY I received when there are several offers on a property and can tell my buyer WE WON. Listening with EMPATHY when a family needs to sell the home where they grew up, may sometimes be an EMOTIONAL experience. You see, it is not the WHAT I do it is the WHY.
