Born in Norway, Jon’s parents immigrated to the U.S. in 1969 and moved the family to Colorado in 1974 where, in 1985, Jon graduated from Aurora’s Smoky Hill High School. He subsequently enlisted and served as a paratrooper, tank crewman, and scout with the U.S. Army’s elite 82nd Airborne Division, receiving an Honorable Discharge from active duty as a Sergeant (E-5) in 1989. After returning to Colorado, he utilized the Veterans Educational Assistance Program (VEAP) to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and minor in History from Metropolitan State College (nka Metropolitan State University) of Denver in 1996, then went on to earn an MBA from the University of Colorado at Denver’s Graduate School of Business in 1999. Professionally, Jon earned a real estate title insurance license in 1991, serving 22 years in business development and as a VP Sales working alongside some of Colorado’s top Realtors® and mortgage loan officers, before earning his own Real Estate Broker’s license in 2013.

From our loft downtown (lived there in the early 90’s when it was a little “edgy” and quiet down there) to our adorable little (and I mean REALLY little) house in Bonnie Brae to our 1890’s Victorian in Platte Park to our Golden condo to the Berkeley bungalow to the Highlands row home to the Morrison place to our current mid-century modern house in Lakewood. Steve says I’m like the guy who gets a job at the bike shop and all of a sudden have every cool bike out there. Yeah. That’s me.
